Pink Carnation...

We met my newly proclaimed long lost *bruv* ...the pink *carnation* was so he could recognise me :)

Sadly he didn't get the white sports coat in time but....good meet all the same...

Just Like Being On Holiday :)

We stayed on a camp site last nite and it was great..just like being on holiday :)

Spent the day in Nelson and met friends for lunch at Zippy's...our favorite haunt there...

Heaven is a Place on Earth...

Wonder *full* day...

We met our friend and swam and played in the most beautiful river.....

Had a real *Baked Alaska* experience, where two rivers met, so half of me was in warm water the other half in almost icy water by comparison!

Do love my Baked Alaska experiences!!

Didn't take my camera to the river for obvious reasons but believe me it was awesome!

Went for a meal later at a bar called Smugglers and found this awesome table :)

I have had so many good days lately..but today was extra special...and I ain't complaining one teeny bit :)

Have been thinking a lot about O's recently;

On my walk this morning I found this one....

When I processed it, it was like a ring of fire with the grass as flames....

After the intense heat of yesterday it was wonderful to walk out this morning;

to be enfolded into a world of cool damp mist....

This very pastoral scene was the first thing that greeted me...!

Such an awesome day!!!

I had a lovely, lazy early morning, catching up with online friends and fellow bloggers ....

Then dug up my first Kiwi home grown potatoes!!!!

Aren't they beautiful?

It felt so good..I planted them 2 weeks after we came here and didn't even know if I would be here to harvest them...an act of faith that was well rewarded :o)

The beautiful bowl in the next post is a gift from a lovely friend...

I have been wanting to photograph it since he gave it to me last weekend, but the light was always too harsh when I got it together...

as it were....

I thought about putting the potatoes in it, but decided that may be construed as an injustice.....

not that my potatoes are unworthy....but;

So I photographed the bowl sans spuds....

and wrote it a Haiku.....

Also discovered that another friend and I were born in the same tiny town..and we meet over 30 years later at the other end of the planet....

How *WILD* is that?!!!!

Blessed with *Found* things....

I found this taped up Barbie doll in Warehouse, just sitting on a shelf....

Had literally *just* been txting about this kinda thing with a friend (as ya do..) and there she was!!

Hideous creature, but it was like a gift to see her there...I was photographing her and a guy stopped and looked on amazed..."isn't it just wild?" says me.....

He ran away !!!!!

Had some amazing luck too; I was standing returning a blown up hoover (ok vaccum cleaner for the purists), in Warehouse and I felt something drop on my chest..I looked and my gold ankh fell to the floor. I was so lucky, had I been dashing about I may not have noticed. My ankh is very precious to me as my mother bought it for me over 15 years ago and it's been round my neck since give or take the occasional repair! The only piece of jewellery I have ever worn all the time. It is now being soldered :)

I got a refund for the hoover (amazing that, in itself..didn't dare ask!!), a refund for the dud coffee frother mentioned in a previous post, and so I felt I should buy the coffee machine I fell for the other day....well it had 100 bucks off! I got two beautiful big Cappuccino cups too...

Later I lost my car keys...and they were found by someone too!!!!

Ginny gets a bath...

Ginny is coming on so well, she is getting very tame now and likes to kiss us all!

She does get grubby though and has to be bathed now and then....

Sunday...

Well ......a pretty amazing day!

We had a lovely lazy morning, until I discovered my camera was missing :(

Ok, so with my new thinking I didn't panic.. *but*

.....have to admit I thought it may be the first in the next *run of three..*

However....life really has changed!!!

I rang the local police station and some beautiful soul had handed it in!!!

It is here and safe..I feel very blessed.....

Went to the river and cooled off...

Johnny and the kids made stone scuptures...

and I made a stone shadow ;-P.....

All in all a wonder *full* weekend :)

The Beach.....

Beautiful day again....very hot considering how cold it was last night!

We had a wonderful tour guide, so went to a new beach and found gemstones....

Boo found some really cool driftwood..see photo..

And we swam a little..water was cold, but..

Feels good......

I fell in love with a bed...the mattress was the best I have *ever* laid on...

But it was... $4299 Kiwi !!!!

The bed at $1899 was cheap in comparison...

I think if I had stupid money though, and noone in the world was starving...

I'd rather have a dreamboat of a bed, than a flashy car...

After all..

beds don't pollute the atmosphere,

they cost nothing to run....

and they can take you to places....

that cars just cannot......

Blessed Life....

I am so blessed to have touched so many wonderful, crazy, beautiful people in my life......

and to have given birth to four of them....

It makes me want to travel forever to touch lives with more and more....but then..

I will really miss the ones I have to leave in order to do that...

And I have found my home...

If you and I have touched lives...then I thank you....

A Walk...

Went for a walk this evening to the end of the valley, it is so peaceful here wandering in the hills...

and the light, as the sun was setting, was wonderful :)

I have definitely been here before....

I feel it...my soul knows this land...

Then I came back to home sweet home....

to be greeted by my lovely woolly friend ......

Woke to a fun bright sunny morning...

Sitting on my magic carpet, on the dry Marlborough earth, letting the sun heal me and feeling the warm wind swirling down the valley to fuel my flight....

I found a Lost Boy...so I guess he's no longer lost?

More Angels..

Yesterday was not so good....but today was full of Angels...

An angel landed at my feet...literally....well at my car wheels..and I didn't hit him...

Another angel waited by the roadside to make me laugh all the way into town....

An Angel at the farm supplies let me in late as they were closed and we had run out of lambs milk..., the computers were all shut down, but he let me pay in cash and gave me discount!!!

And an Angel in Arizona sent me my favorite Burt Bees Lip Balm...

There were other Angels too.....

Oh and this little hedgehog came to visit us this evening....he seemed to like the yummy plums on our tree......

Latest Passions....

I have a few new passions in my life....

Searching for..... and trying to make the perfect mochaccino or even cappuccino..which I have trouble spelling....

Have trouble with getting the mixture and sweetness and chocolatiness (Johnny I need you..), right in the Mocha and trouble frothing the milk in both!!!

My silly little milk frother thingy is just not man enough for the job !

I may try hot chocolate with chili too...

Something else I have got into again is Origami..

Sort of like meditation in a way.... and it uses paper ;-P

And I adore....

The other sheep are the *visiting relations*..they appeared on Christmas eve and seem to like it here even if the holiday is over!!!

Came different route home and got back at 2.00am....
